The 'Stro
The 'Stro is your university bar, a place to enjoy live music every Wednesday night.
Located on the campus adjacent to Lazenby hall, the bar offers a full range of beers, spirits, cocktails and non alcoholic drinks.
We are open 9pm till late when we provide a free bus to College and Town. The "Stro is a safe venue with security guards employed each night to ensure students behave in an acceptable manner.
Local and imported DJ's complement the live bands that take to the stage regularly during term time.
As The 'Stro is a licenced venue it is strictly an 18+ venue. It is a condition of entry to the licensed premises known as The 'Stro that an acceptable proof of age document will be produced on request. In addition to a proof of age a proof of membership (i.e. student or staff card) must also be produced on request. Where no proof of membership card is available the person becomes a guest of a member provided that that person is signed in as a guest by a member with proof of membership and observes all the rules and regulations that may apply.
To be up to date with whats on at The 'Stro, join us on Facebook - StroUNE - this way you will be advised of theme nights in advance, details of the DJ's and bands playing and if an entry fee is applicable.
Most nights are free entry, however when a band or out of town DJ is booked there may be an entry cost with pre sales of tickets.
