Welcome.

Congratulations on choosing UNE as your university of study. For those of you who will study on campus in Armidale – welcome. UNE is a unique place to study and we hope that you will feel welcome and enjoy your stay here.

Please look through our website to gain an understanding of what Services UNE is and how we may be able to help you over the coming years.

If you have not finalised you Accommodation, and are considering living off campus our “Off Campus Accommodation” section is for you.

We have some special events organised for your Orientation especially if you are moving to Armidale. These are listed below as well as appearing in our Calendar of Events. As orientation gets closer please refer back to this page as it will be updated from time to time. Please note that this is a Services UNE listing – the full University program can be found at here.

Sunday 7 February 2010. 5pm to 7pm. Welcome BBQ for all new students living in town. Come and meet other town students in a social environment and the week ahead for you will not be so daunting. (Park in the Northern Car Park and follow the signs to The ‘Stro verandah.

Monday 8 February 2010. This is called ‘Lifesaver Day”. Services UNE will have a marquee near the water feature in Central Courtyard. Collect you 2010 Student Diary and Wall Planner from our display. Perhaps you may wish to purchase your FRESHERS BASH or MOVIE NIGHT tickets at our display. Services UNE will also be providing the free lunchtime BBQ’s and drinks in the Courtyard.

Tuesday 9 February 2010. Again Services UNE will be providing the free lunch time BBQ’s and drinks - this time on The ‘Stro verandah. Hang around The ‘Stro till 2pm and join in some fun and games for the afternoon. Connecting with your Town Network is very important at this early stage.

Thursday 11 February 2010. Don’t miss Fresher’s Bash at 8pm in The ‘Stro. The headline act is Bag Raiders. This is an 18+ event and sure to be a big night – live bands and DJs. Also on this night is a non alcohol event Movie Night. Two movies - The Wolfman and Valentine's Day, soft drinks and popcorn. Tickets are $15 to either event and both will be a sell out.. Tickets available from Monday 8th at Campus Essentials. Free buses provided to and from both events.
